Meet the Face behind The Purposeful Hockey Mom
Hi, I’m Keri – a 40 something yr. old mom who came up with an idea to help other hockey moms make their life easier. I have two girls – 16 and 8. They both play hockey, along with other sports. Can you say busy! I remember when my oldest started playing competitive hockey and I was carting her, her equipment, and a baby carrier around. Some days I wonder how I did it all.
Can you relate?
I’ve been married for 19 years to a great man and prior to taking on my favorite job as mom, I was a Physical Education and Health Teacher.
My greatest joy is spending time with my girls and watching them do what they love. When I’m not doing that, I enjoy gardening, spending time with friends, walking, baking and photography.
What is the Purposeful Hockey Mom?
My girls are 8 1/2 years apart and when my oldest started competitive hockey and soccer, I was thrust into this new life of juggling a new born, bringing my daughter to and from her activities multiple times a day, maintaining the home, cooking the meals, and doing ALL the things. My husband was traveling for work several days every week and we didn’t have any family nearby to help. The purposeful hockey mom was born from the idea that I wish I had the tools and knowledge that I have now. Those days would have ran much more smoothly and I would have enjoyed them so much more.
I want to give you the resources you need to make your life as a hockey mom easier.
My hope is to provide you the tools you need to avoid the craziness that I felt those first few years.
